Matthew Handley served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nepal from 1997-1999, working as a rural construction engineer. He is currently an attorney with the firm Cohen, Milstein, Hausfeld & Toll, P.L.L.C., focused on compensating victims of corporate wrongdoing. Many of his efforts revolve around international civil and human rights actions. He has represented Nepali citizens in United States Immigration Court in political asylum proceedings and families of Nepali laborers who were trafficked and killed while working in Iraq. Handley’s work on behalf of these Nepali families has recently been recognized by the U.S. Ambassador to Nepal and the Prime Minister of Nepal.
