ANTA-GNYC Celebrated Holi Festival in New York,USA

With great pleasure, we would like thanks everybody for yours support and gracious presence in Association of Nepalese Teraian in America, Greater New York chapter (ANTA-GNYC) Annual Cultural Event – “Holi Cultural Extravaganza-2012.” On the aupicious occassion of Festival of colors: Holi(Faguwa). ANTA-GNYC family are both honoured and humbled by your presence.

Really, New Yorkers experienced a another unique festival on Saturday, 9 March 2012. It was celebrated with much fanfare by covering colored powder on each other, and dancing to folk music and songs. This was part of Holi Festival (Festival of Colours) which was organized by ANTA-GNYC and introduced to New Yorkers.

“It was a great success in terms of participation and distinguished guest like Respected and most influential American Hindu Leader and Educator and President of Hindu Temple Society of North America- Dr. Uma Mysorekar , Ambassador/Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations- H.E. Gyan Chandra Acharya, Board of Directors of American Society of Nepalese Engineers and ANTA Advisor- Upendra Karn, and many more distinguished fellow Madhesis, Nepalese, Indian and Guyanese community leaders and members.

On behalf of ANTA-GNYC family and myself, I would sincerely like to thanks all the organizing committee members, volunteers, performers, sponsors, supporters, attendees and all the print and visual media who gave a good coverage of the festival.
